A medium-sized oil painting ready to hang in a room that needs a new object of contemplation.

+I remember that for my Erasmus Series I decided to work with real people and create a kind of collaborative art. I was in Katowice at the time and I've invited all my colleagues to take part in my painting project, having them sit in front of my easel with their eyes shut and trying not to fall asleep or faint. However, it came a day when I had to continue working but without a model, so I grabbed my camera, went to the bathroom and took a few selfies. This was to become the first self-portrait I have ever made.

+The pose and especially the closed eyes stand for a metaphorical bridge in communication. However, the overall atmosphere is calm and tranquil, which can mean that the character is waiting to be discovered.

The sides are not painted.
It will be securely packed with layers of bubble wrap and cardboard for safe delivery.

The work is varnished.
