Artist's description:

My approach to photography tends to be instinctive, with the subject matter being found rather than constructed. There are recurring themes in my work and I am often motivated by a desire to capture/preserve something that may not otherwise be seen, either literally or metaphorically.

I have had a long standing interest in debris/detritus; ephemera that is often overlooked or edited out from our consciousness. Whether it is ocean waste on the beach or plastic bags catching petals on their journey along a canal; I feel compelled to capture the magic I see in these scenes, raising them above their perceived status.

Adrift#2 (2011)
