I was inspired to paint this painting while I was walking in the old centre in the town of Paphos and I saw an abandoned house in a badly condition. I felt that the house was trying to survive during the test of time. The window was looking like it was trying to stand on the walls. My first impression was that the wall's stones, coating and rest of matterials show the abandonment of the glory of another era. Through this painting I want to express the feelings of sadness, disappointment ,and anger for the loss of this beauty, which has been left alone to survive during the test of time.
