"Red, 2014" by Branka

"She is my favourite piece of art. She has that emotion that when you enter a room, and you see her on the wall, you just smile. You don't think, you just smile. Is there anything better in the world than that?"

"August, 2015" by Darya Klunnikova

“August. Lovely summer flowers - this bouquet is filled with light and warmth. Like light emerges from these flowers and casts a magical glow. In my paintings I try to convey the beauty and uniqueness of each flower.”

"Indian Summer in Yorkshire Dales, 2014" by Deleted Artist

“Do we actually have Indian summers in North Yorkshire Dales? No, not really. We don’t even have enough trees to get a reasonable Indian summer here, I guess. This painting depicts an impossible place where Great Smoky Mountains meet North Yorkshire Dales because in art everything IS possible.”

"L'invitation au voyage, 2014" by Anne Gournay

“'L’Invitation au Voyage' was inspired by a week I spent during the summer 2014 on a small island in Brittany, l’Ile de Groix. No cars, no internet, no TV, just walks on the beach and time to let your thoughts wander. It was also inspired by a poem by Charles Baudelaire in which the poet invites his loved one to escape the harsh reality for an ideal world where all senses are soothed and body and soul are healed.”

"Autumn Fall, 2015" by Michelle Carolan

“Vibrant abstract full of energy & atmosphere! I love the way the Autumnal leaves fall from the trees, floating to the ground creating a carpet of vibrant colours.”

"I Walk Alone, 2015" by Arti Chauhan

“This is an expressive portrait of a polar bear on deep edge canvas. Largest land based carnivores on earth, these strong, big and beautiful animals are in danger of being extinct in not so distant future; thanks to the climate change, as well as increased human activity in their habitat. I never miss a documentary on polar bears, they look so precious! I can only hope that I have been able to bring out the beauty, grace and elegance of these gentle giants in this portrait.”

"Wild Majesty, 2015" by Andrew Alan Johnson

“In this large piece of original art I wanted to express the joy that wild flowers and especially the meadows of Great Britain bring to the eye. I wanted to capture a moment in the height of summer. I enjoy painting poppies and the mixed tangle of beautiful flowers from nature...symbolic of life's rich tapestry and the mix of experiences and people we encounter on our journey. Light always features strongly in my art and there is (as in this one), always a bright point, which perhaps is spiritually symbolic in it's message.”

"In My Own Bubble, 2015" by Abi Whitlock

“Water has the amazing ability of distorting and fragmenting images. The shattered light and swirling colour create an almost abstract feel, even though this piece is a study in photo-realism. Despite the painstaking detail, this was such a fun subject to paint.”

"Shifting Light, 2015" by Kimberley Harris

“'Shifting Light' originated from a late afternoon walk in a Suffolk park. The sunlight broke through the tree foliage creating scattered rays on the woodland floor and a tunnel of hazy light between the trees. All of my paintings represent my fascination with light and how it changes through the day, providing different displays of colour and depth. This piece captures nature's changing seasons and contrasts as Summer draws to a close and gives Autumn its moment of glory.”

"BLUE GARDEN 2 - OLD GARDENER, 2015" by Hana Auerova

“This painting belongs to the French Blue garden collection that I plan to use as a scene for my new animated movie. People who see paintings of the French Blue garden, where everything blooms in blue or purple color, usually ask me about the gardener. "The gardener must be a magician," they say. So, here he is: an old man in white, living in a blue house under three gigantic olive trees that almost hide the house. It is actually a coincidence that the old gardener looks like Claude Monet!”
