"Briefcase of Women (Artists' Styles and Success), 2017" by Jennifer Dalton

“This piece comprises two signed and numbered limited edition prints displaying data and statistics about women artists on Artfinder and in the larger art world. These two prints are housed in an acrylic briefcase, symbolizing transparency about the systems within which we all live and work. The title is a reference to former US presidential candidate Mitt Romney's remark that he had "binders full of women" to fill cabinet positions, were he to be elected. 50% of the profits from sale of this work will be donated to the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum.”

"The loop, 2016" by Andrea Castro

“Do we not repeat the same habits over and over again? The same bowl of cereals for breakfast. The same pair of shoes to go to work. Even avoiding that call we don't want to take. We live daily lives full of patterns and are constantly looking for those patterns that will make us feel comfortable and at ease. But in that loop we can't move forward. We need to break our daily routine. We need to get out of our comfort zone. Because breaking patterns is how we grow.”

"Shiny red apples, 2017" by Rosalind Roberts

“Another of my favourite themes: brightly coloured fruit on a brilliant blue background gives me that mediterranean feel of sunshine, good food and a general sense of wellbeing.”

"Another Moon (60 x 60 cm), 2016" by Zlatina Baytcheva

I love looking at the moon and have always fascinated by its magical light. I created this piece one hot night last summer while I was pregnant with my first child; I couldn't sleep as sensed the moon gazing down at me. The painting was made from start to finish in a few hours. I used contrasting tones of gray and yellow and combined different materials in order to achieve this vibrant image.

"Wharfe Dawn" by Susannah Lawless

“'Wharfe Dawn' is inspired by the beautiful River Wharfe which flows through the Wharfe Valley in North Yorkshire in the North of England. The painting depicts the river in late autumn, as the sun rises and the mist lifts slowly from the water.”

"CONTRA CORRIENTE, 2016" by Tomasa Martin

“This piece was inspired by a day spent walking in the countryside. I came upon a boy who was fishing in a river. I found the scene so unusual that I took some time to contemplate it. The green tones of the landscape, the calm of the river, time stopped for me.”

"Garden in the City, 2016" by Deleted Artist

“I composed this piece by focusing first on the foreground. I wanted to create an image that reflected the chaotic and yet harmonious growth of a colorful wild garden. To highlight the rich aliveness of the weeds and flowers I chose to fill the background with a dreamy magenta sky.”

"Pancake Tower Pop Art Painting On A4 Paper Unframed, 2017" by Ian Viggars

“The latest in my 'pop art food' series is an image of a traditional American-style pancake stack. The pancakes come with blueberries, and a generous helping of maple syrup and cream. Just in time for pancake day! Everything is set against my trademark sky blue background and outlined using a black Posca paint pen. I love reducing food stuffs to colourful graphic-art style images.”

"One Second Before Awakening, 2017" by Aaron Knight

“This image alludes to the paradoxical nature of dreams. We see what appears to be simultaneously underwater and above the clouds, an unclad woman swimming or perhaps flying. The serpentine lines of the body are juxtaposed with the random crinkling of light filtering through the surface of the water, billowing clouds, and rising bubbles.”
