"Golden Fall, 2017" by Zoe Elizabeth Norman

“While on a regular walk one evening I noticed the sun shining through these two beautiful oak trees and decided they would make a lovely subject to paint. The light was so beautiful but unfortunately lasted only minutes at it was quite late, so plein-air painting was not possible on this occasion. Instead I took some quick charcoal notes and photographs and completed the painting from the comfort of my studio.”

"Les Mystères de l'aube (The Mysteries Of The Dawn), 2017" by Celine Baliguian

“Here in the South of France we enjoy wonderful dusks and dawns during the winter and spring, majestic moments with their shades of oranges, pinks and deep yellows, lending an atmosphere of mystery. Through the filter of those lights, nature appears totally transformed, changing all the colours into a magical show.”

"Train 213, 2017" by Etienne Pascal

“Streets. Spring. The scent of freshly brewed coffee. The sound of the tram. What a place to enjoy the sun! On my daily walk, I pass this beautiful place and sometimes stop and watch people go by. I look through the windows of the bar, see people talking, meeting friends, having lunch. The city's magic overwhelms me.”

"Coal tit & forsythia, 2017" by Alex Ebdon

“Spring returns, and with it our gardens are filled with life once more. Colour and song from the birds flocking to feed and seeking to nest. Brightness and texture from the trees and plants coming into leaf and flower. This linocut print is one of my new series that celebrates spring in our gardens. I used gold spray together with printing ink to create a beautiful shimmer to the pieces when they catch the light. Each print is hand pulled, giving it a unique character.”

“I visited Kozima in 2006. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the coastline and is well known to artists. My aim was to evoke the quiet, atmospheric silence of the place, punctuated with the squawk of a seagull.”

""The consequences of parenthood" - Unique artwork, 2017" by tom bäcker

“'The consequences of parenthood" has come a long way. It's based on a an abstract photo of architecture fragments. Then I started randomly cutting out fragments from this picture, rearranging them randomly anew. The same with the result, same with the result, same with the result, same with the result - every time leading to a bigger picture, much like the growth of a family.”

"Waves of Happiness One, 2017" by Helen Wells

“A beautiful abstract watercolour and acrylic painting. It depicts a visually rich, illusionary organic landscape. A mix of beautiful fluid colours and pattern. A bright and colourful original painting. Inspired by the notion of optimism and good times.”

"Serenity, 2017" by Lynn Hughes

“As I painted this canvas my intention was to evoke a feeling of tranquility and peace. I applied washes of soothing greens, greys and touches of blue over cumulative layers of paint to produce a blurry, dream-like air.”
