"Roses and palm" by Fabienne Monestier

"I've used soft colors and pastels tones to match the idea of contemporary french chic: discreet, soft, elegant, and a touch of nobility. I always keep in mind the interior of french noble houses and royal castles from the place where I live, the Loire valley. I've used indigo blue, prussian blue, dark strong blue, and playing with totally assumed bright pinks. I also worked with the transparent colors. The white run-outs appear grey in transparency. They bring a more contemporary aspect to the artwork."

"Untitled #470, 2017" by Rich Ray Art

"This technique has taken several years to master. Many hours of trial and error. My process involves four stages: First, I paint the abstract artwork. Second, I photograph the art and other textures from nature. Third, I spend time going through thousands of images until I find the one portrait that will work. Fourth, I download all the different elements into a photo editor program. With each new piece a series of emotions come and go. The portrait will change and grow as it is manipulated. It is as if the soul emerges, revealing another person altogether."

"Oilseed Rape Fields - Aluminium Dibond" by Michelle Williams Photography

"Aluminium Dibond imaging - A 5 image panoramic stitch of oilseed rape fields. I loved the indigo and violet colours against the bright yellow of the fields, and the wispy clouds added further interest to the sky."

"Mist rising, 2016" by Lorraine Tuck

"Sometimes in the morning I look out from my studio over the fabulous Vienne river here in my beloved french village. The mist creates mystery both hiding & revealing like a living abstract painting. Here I search to recreate the mystery within a painting."

"Dorado Revisited, 2017" by Katrina Case

"About 3 years ago I painted a photo of a Dorado or Mahi Mahi that my friend had caught while fishing in Puerto Rico. The piece was a local favorite and ended up in a gallery in San Juan. While it was there someone walked into the gallery and walked out with my piece, apparently unnoticed. I was devastated to have lost this painting. Right away I started a piece to repaint that painting but never got very far. The spark was gone. Just recently I stumbled upon the canvas again with the oil wash sketch of that great Dorado, I decided it was time to finally finish that piece. This one varies slightly from the original that was stolen, but I still focused on the bright colors of the fish. The Dorado is a fish that loses it color fairly rapidly when removed from the water so capturing this was a special treat."

"Beauty Within, 2013" by Lucy Burton

"Whilst travelling in Mexico I happened upon a community of ladies and their children that had been given refuge away from violent husbands. To support their families, they wove garments and decorative pieces of cloth to sell. The quality was amazing and we watched as they sat on the floor passing a baton of wood back and forth through the loom. The top the girl is wearing was made by her and features a design of arum lilies commonly grown in the area for export. In the bottom corner, you can see the lilies that inspired their work."

"La Petite Ruelle, 2017" by Etienne Pascal

"Evening, streets darken; no people around. The lights turn the street into warm browns. Soft loneliness overcomes me, giving time to clear thoughts and mind. Slowly moving, sinking in own devils and angels. Welcome to my world..."

"Blue Lake I Blauer See, 2017" by Gesa Reuter

“Shades of blue sweep across the canvas of Gesa Reuter's artworks as she paints landscapes, seas, skies and clouds to convey the beauty of nature and how it connects to emotions of the soul. The ultramarine pigments hold particular importance to the artist, as she uses their symbolic qualities to represent wisdom, loneliness, sadness and also great beauty in the world. Recently for her series 'Blue Worlds' she has discovered the power of watercolors and ink in her work, enjoying the way the lightness of the materials can convey her inner feelings in the moment of experiencing the landscape.”
