"The Bluebells" by Georgina Bouzyk
"This painting was inspired by a walk made by Rudyard Kipling in Rye, East Sussex, where the bluebells were in full glory. The walk was titled 'Puck's walk' and was a great inspiration for Kipling for the characterful journey and variety of scenery and beauty. Making the walk I was inspired by a hidden sea of bluebells off the track, which appeared visually as a haze of intense blue. The interaction of the sunlight made a hypnotic dapple of colour and light across the forest floor."
