"La Lignière forest no. 2, 2016" by Ludovic Dussarrat

“This piece depicts a forest in Switzerland, on the shore of the Lake Geneva. I usually only paint with the support of my original pictures as I need to feel the atmosphere and to remember this moment to paint. But this time, I decided to use the work of a photographer friend, as I wanted to express my feelings about these autumn colors.”

""Mountain lake", 2016" by Viktoriya Gorokhova

“Take the time to feel the fresh, clean mountain air, listen to birds singing, look at the blooming trees and flowers, smell their perfume, relax and restore your inner power - come back to the real you.”

"A Montreal Lightning Storm" by Marcus Lewis

“I got to witness my first real lightning storm and I didn't even have to go storm chasing for it! A quick walk out onto the balcony was all I needed. It was my lucky night as I just set up my tripod and put my camera on self timer / long exposure. Storm chasing has been on my bucket list and I'm so glad I was able to see something like this right outside my doorstep.”

"Illumination, Grand Canyons, Landscape, 2016" by Padmaja Madhu

“All I can express about the Grand Canyon (Arizona, USA) is that I could see it only as an embodiment of God's awesome creation on earth. Its multicolored rock walls, craggy cliffs, and sandy slopes has left me in awe.”

"Allium in May, 2016" by Lucy Burton

“I was inspired to create this piece after planting and watching the Allium grow and bloom in my garden. I love the way that each tiny flower is joined by a fine stem to the core creating sphere with beautiful angles within it. I used collage as I wanted to build up lots of layers of different green grasses and have the contrasting pinky purple allium dotted around over the top. I collected greens from hundreds of magazines for the piece, if you look closely you will see peas, beans, pomegranate seeds and even a little face!”

"Glass Reflections with Daisies, 2017" by Louisa J Simpson

“Think fresh laundry, cut grass and summer days. The aim of this piece is to evoke that daisy-fresh feeling often associated with spring and summer days. Using a limited palette of greens and aquamarines in line with the pantone colors for 2017, you will feel calm and invigorated when looking at this painting and the worries of the day will melt away.”

"Antibes harbour in morning sun, 2017" by Mary Stubberfield

“The stunning harbour at Antibes with the castle and mountains in the background. I visited the famous town while staying in Nice recently, one of few tourists on a calm spring morning. The yachts seem to wait in anticipation for the season to begin and soon the place will be bustling with visitors by land and sea.”

"You are Everything VII, 2017" by John O'Grady

“In the mountains, all is quiet. The grasses stretch out across the land. Beneath, the earth glows orange and red, as if sighing. Looking up, the blue-violet mountains are silhouetted against the night sky. A warm golden light borders, lace-like, the rolling clouds. The moonbeams illuminate the land and gives the clouds a blue-green tinge. Awakening from a dream, the fragments we remember are often disjointed without an obvious common thread. When this painting came to life, it felt like a dreamscape. Without making sense, it felt right.”

"Go ahead, 2017" by Lana Frey

“I love to show inner emotions in my fantasy portraits and the best emotion and feeling to draw is inner energy. My technique involves throwing paint emotionally onto a canvas and removing what you don't like while leaving what is beautiful.”
