    Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2020

    This week I have submitted my oil painting 'Walk to the Top' for consideration for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition this year. There were 13,000 public submissions last year and they selected around 700 paintings. There seems no rhyme or reason as to what work gets selected. Well...persistence is the key!

    Mixed Emotions

    Mixed Emotions

    I have my two original paintings 'Mixed Emotions I' and 'Mixed Emotions II' on exhibition and for sale at the Saltmarsh Gallery in Lymington. These paintings are a departure for me into abstract painting and draw on the range of emotions that I have experienced over the past year in moving from full time employment into my own arts and landscape creative practice. These paintings have been created with a mixture of spray enamel paints and acrylic paints. The other two paintings in the mixed emotions series are listed on artfinder.

    My exhibition alongside the very talented Artist and Architect Rebecca Galbraith has now been extended until the end of October. This is a great gallery space in the heart of the New Forest. We have been exploring the elusive concept of sense of place and identity.
