This image is of a small section of graffiti on an electricity pylon. I took it in an area of Budapest, Hungary where lots of graffiti artists go and do pieces of work, and also use surrounding street furniture to test their paints and do tags on. This is the subject of my photograph. The paint has been built up over time by many different graffiti artists. The black tag on top seems to float above the colourful layers underneath, giving the image a real sense of depth. I called the picture "Wild Style" because it has something of the feel of old classic 80's hip hop era graffiti in its use of light, bright colours.
This image is part of my "Photo Abstracts" series that seeks to make abstract images out of the details of everyday life.
