This work is of a dramatic landscape where a violent storm is giving way to a period of greater calm. It's very expressionistic, and is meant to convey the feeling of an emotional storm as well as a literal one. In these uncertain times, it is also meant to serve as a reminder that difficult conditions will pass and leave calmer waters to come after them.
In making this piece, I was very inspired by of the emotion-filled landscapes of the English painter J.M.W Turner, and I hope that I have captured some of the strength of feeling and power in this work that he brought to his.
