Original artwork description:

A coastal landscape using high quality oil paints on stretched cotton canvas depicting the hush of a misty morning on an empty beach that promises a beautiful summer’s day viewed from amid the dune grasses.

The painting was recently shown at the prestigious 100th Annual Exhibition for the Westward Ho! & Bideford Art Society, Devon U.K.

The colours in the light that reflects from the shimmering sand and water are a lifelong preoccupation of mine. I have tried to capture the feelings of serenity and calmness that such scenes hold through thin glazes and thicker passages of impasto paint.

The painting continues around the sides of the canvas and it comes with appropriate fixings ready to hang straight onto your wall. A coat of varnish has been applied to protect the painted surface. The work is signed on the front. A catalogued certificate of authenticity is attached to the back. The artwork will carefully packaged and sent fully insured via a tracked courier.
