This original hand carved wood wall mask is one of the latest artworks of the professional Bulgarian contemporary sculptor, deeply inspired by folk art and tribal art. It is 100% hand carved, no artificial influence. It is one extraordinary wood masterpiece and exquisite home wall décor.

Kukeri are elaborately costumed Bulgarian men, who perform traditional rituals intended to scare away evil spirits. Around New Year and before Lent, the kukeri walk and dance through villages to scare away evil spirits with their costumes and the sound of their bells.
