This is an photograph I took in Teignmouth, UK, of the side of an old rowing boat. The paint has been scratched away over years of use, creating a story behind the object. However, seen another way, it is an entirely abstract image in the style of an Abstract Expressionist painting. For this reason, I call my images "Photo Abstracts".
The title of this piece comes from the fact that many people see eyes and therefore different animals in the picture, but I leave the decision entirely up to the viewer, to see in the piece whatever they wish to see, and to enjoy the beauty that can be found in unlikely places.
