The inspiration of this work is from memory of my grandfather's skin. I used iron wire insert through canvas, which makes work to be 3-dimensional. After that I collaged color skin and glue skin together on canvas.
I am trying to make some contradictions in this work, rugged but glazed, colorful but drying, etc. Personally I want to discuss death and life in this painting, but I hope viewers could feel differently through their lives experiences.
