This artwork is part of an ongoing series of drawings I have been working on over several years. The drawings are all inspired by structures from nature that have been magnified to a much larger scale. Sometimes they are created from structures I see on my daily walks along the coast. Other drawings can be from images that are then developed further by my imagination. These drawings often develop into abstract paintings, as well as paper, ceramic and wire sculptures. These works are very organic, often created on handmade paper or thick watercolour paper. I also love to use tea as a wash with ink.
This piece has been created on a light sage green handmade paper. It has torn edges and because of it's natural organic qualities the edges are not perefectly straight. It has been signed on the front and is unframed.
Handmade paper and ink. Please note colour is light sage green, for some reason looks more grey on screen.
