Original artwork description:

St Cynhaearn's is located on what was originally an island at the end of an ancient causeway near the village of Penrhyndeudraeth in Gwynedd, North Wales. The church is now surrounded by fields with Moel-y-gest to one side and the sea to the other. A large scale map is required to find this church - as is the case with most remote, historic places of worship!
Since I painted this picture on location, in 2011, the cement rendering has been removed as part of preservation works, so the painting already records a tiny piece of the church's history. The church is in the care of 'The Friends of Friendless Churches' and, after costs, I will donate £40 from the sale of this painting to the Friends to help them continue with their fine work.

Painted on location in mixed media (pen, ink wash and gouache) on acrylic gesso-primed Crawford & Black 230gsm acid-free paper. This painting is supplied unmounted and unframed and will be sent in a postal tube. FREE POSTAGE TO UK BUYERS.
