Sometimes an ordinary scene sparks an idea. These meadow flowers alongside the River Windrush at Burford in Oxfordshire are a pleasant, if not spectacular, scene in their own right - although not an image I think others would want to put on their walls. It gave me the idea to take a small section and create an abstract from of a natural subject that is more visually striking. The degree to which manipulation is required to create my Natural Abstracts collection varies - sometimes Mother Nature does a fine job without intervention. This one needed a little help...
As with all my images of this size, this is dry mounted on a backing board to avoid wrinkling in future. A double mount inside either a white or a black contemporary box frame sets this image off beautifully. I prefer this one slightly offset towards the top of the frame.
