Artist's description:

All paintings are personal, some are more personal than others. this continues my series of paintings on displacement and the loss of homeland. this painting depicts the Goddess Durga on her tiger crossing La Cienega Boulevaerd in West LA while a man walking a dog seems oblivious or unperturbed. culture is more portable than religion because it evolves while most religions originated hundreds of years ago and didn't anticipate great geographic migrations.
