This work takes one to the unexpected where gesture and whimsey are the focus. "Happenstance II' continues the exploration started with the first piece 'Happenstance'. Here, the energy of Joyce's brushwork on the canvas is evident.

Using professional acrylic paint on double primed canvas, this work in the style of Joan Mitchell features green and gold in various values. There are drips and markings adding to the composition. The painting is continued to include the sides of the canvas wrap.

The painting is ready to hang with wire attached. It works beautifully on its own or with its companion piece Happenstance (see in situ images featuring both works)

A thin layer of Liquitex Professional Satin Varnish has been applied for protection.
