This is a depiction of a local Hertfordshire blue bell wood. The wood is about a mile away from where I live. the blue bells are so purple! In the evening they take on an intense purple hue. Such a powerful colour in paintings. Behind the woods are the Rothamsted experimental station fields - a yellow stripe of oil seed rape and the first signs of a fresh green beech showing its leaves contrasting with the pink purple tones of a bramble leaf or two.
The painting is supplied in a white mount ready for framing and will fit a frame size 70 x 60cm.
watercolour and inks plus acrylic
