Artist's description:

Hand-drawn and hand-cast glass sculpture inspired by Britain's ancient Standing Stones.

I've been fascinated by the standing stones dotting our countryside all my life: the thought of the people who erected them, overcoming so many difficulties, and of the many many people who have seen, touched, and lived by the stones since then. They're full of stories - of histories. They are the inspiration for this cast glass artwork.

It's made of glass already old, saved from a 200-year-old building near Shrewsbury as it was demolished some years ago. And it was made by me, also rather ancient... !

It comes with a wooden plinth, and is ready to show.
