  • Biography
I'm a bit of an old polymath, an artist of many years, happy to employ multiple disciplines, medias, and techniques to create my art. My major works have been in glass created using centuries-old stained and cast glass techniques, whereas nowadays I work mainly using modern digital painting, printing and drawing tools.
I work in a studio/workshops/gallery/home in woodland on the Welsh/English borders, where you are welcome to see me and my work.

Much of my work is based upon the human figure: people fascinate me! I can sit for hours watching and drawing people. Usually, by the time a work is finished, the figure has been abstracted in many ways - but it's still there. I think about the actions and creations of humans throughout history, and the ways in which human artifacts aquire history.

I continue to use traditional methods, for instance, I stain much of my own glass using traditional metals and oxides, and cast much of it in sand beds. I'm always happy to talk about and show off these methods, so do ask! More recent work has been 2D, in silk, canvas or paper, created using a mix of the old and newer, digital techniques.

My work has won awards and is collected and displayed in the UK, Europe, Middle East, America and Australia. I enjoy and welcome commissions!
