on his little knoll, the blackbird sings his heart out, to summer, to sun and to life!
I have created this collage on a stretched canvas, ready to hang. I start by giving the entire canvas a coat of black acrylic paint and then I have used magazine papers and an old atlas to create the red and yellow flowers and leaves, I have also used magazine papers on the blackbird. Once glued onto the canvas with acrylic medium, I have added touches of acrylic paint to enhance the image, and added layers of very happy blue acrylic to the background, without touching the edges, they are still black, so it really does not need framing, but of course, you can frame it if you want.... once it has all dried, I have varnished the image with a UV varnish for longevity.
The size of the stretched canvas is 30 cm x 40 cm (12" x 16") and it comes complete with a hanger ready to go on the wall. The depth of the canvas is an inch, or 2.5 cm.
I have signed the painting on the front and on the back.
I ship the painting/collage from my studio in Denmark, and it comes flatpack, sturdily packaged, to arrive safely. I have a lot of experience of packing artwork, as you can see in my reviews. It is sent with courier mail so is trackable the whole way.
