Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This is a piece of Conceptual Art.

This is an unofficial Party Political Broadcast by the Labour Party.

The ready-made stainless steel “Can” has the words “Tom & Jerry” which you may naturally think of the cartoon characters “Tom & Jerry”, playing Cat and Mouse Games, but, Artist is suggesting the opposite and Political Satire by the leader and deputy leader of the Labour Party, “Jeremy” Corbyn and “Tom” Watson.

Labour Party colours of Red have been used as the background, and the text.

The Artist would take a ready-made “Can” remove it’s Label, to reveal the Stainless Steel Can underneath, and re-label with a Satirical character words, to highlight an issue of the day, inspired by satirical & comedy puppet TV series, Newzoids (2015-present) and previously Spitting Image (1984-1996) on UK Television.

This artwork has been inspired by the previous works in the “Back to Basics: Cans” series of works, and the previous work “Back to Basic: Anti Consumerism Cans (2009)” (see last image and link below)

Back to Basics: Anti-Consumerism Cans (2009)

End of unofficial Party Political Broadcast by the Labour Party.
