Artist's description:

This is an outdoor painting created in the Belgian Eifel – the Eastern part of Belgium that borders on Germany, where I live. The region is characterised by undulating hills, little villages, endless forests and high fens. The Eifel remains very green in summer due to the temperatures generally being just a few degrees lower than in the lower lying regions and because thunderclouds often form over the high ground, bringing summerrain. It is this freshness of the Eifel in summer that I wanted to convey in this work as well as the coziness of the place with some villages perched on ridges and others nestling in the hollows between the hills.

This painting is one of a series of paintings of the Eifel region. It comes in a lovely double mount that emphasizes the panoramic subject and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
