"Painting of Charlie the cat, 2015" by Kellas Campbell

“This painting shows the quiet elegance of my cat, Charlie, as well as the beautiful blueness of her eyes, inherited from some unknown Siamese ancestor.”

"Poolside, 2015" by Abi Whitlock

“This painting, to me, encapsulates summer and all the memories associated with it. The sparkling light, the glare of the sun from overhead and the deep azure blue of the sky reflected in the water. In the depths of winter its always nice to have a reminder that warm weather and long days can be looked forward to in the coming year.”

"Japanese Cranes in the Snow, 2015" by Deleted Artist

“I love to paint these beautiful birds because of their harmonious shapes and plumage colors - what combination can be more ideal than white, red and black?! They are amazing dancers; their courtship dance is spectacular. In the Oriental World the Red-Crowned cranes are sacred, symbols of love, fidelity, and longevity.”

"Sunset over the tide, 2015" by Timothy Gent

“This is a recent painting of a beautiful sunset over the open sandy beach at Lytham St Annes in Lancashire. Just occasionally you come across the right conditions that make the sky turn the most magnificent yellow as the sun disappears over the horizon. The breeze fills your lungs, the clouds scud by, and the sound of the sea surrounds you as watch the sunset. With this painting I've also tried to capture that wonderful sense of movement and open space that you experience as you look out to the distant tide on a breezy day.”

"Specimen 008 - Painted Beauty (Batesia hypochlora), 2014" by Alexa Aulds

“My friend gave me a beautiful mounted morpho butterfly as a birthday gift a few years ago and I was enthralled by the magnificence of the wings and colour. I imagined the butterfly flitting around the rainforest, a pop of blue brightness against the green. Painted to a true likeness in acrylic with ink added over the paint using a calligraphy nib, this small framed painting is a bright artistic take on a mounted taxidermy butterfly specimen, a celebration of the beauty of the natural world.”

"Bienvenue à Yvoire!, 2015" by Cristina Mihailescu

“Welcome to Yvoire - a flowery medieval village on the shore of Lake Geneva, in the region of Rhône-Alpes in south-eastern France, classified among the most beautiful villages in France. This beautiful, unique painting bathed in gorgeous colors, light and wonderful textures was done for one of my latest workshops.”

"Potted Knotted .P, 2015" by Anthony Crammen

“'Potted Knotted .P' is a sculpture based on a previous series of works using knotted coloured nylon string inspired by repetitious techniques and processes that I have become quite fond of. The piece of work also responds to my love of transforming mundane materials through the use of colour and repetition. The freestanding sculpture features a pale coral and white coloured, stone textured ceramic vase and is inspired by plants and flowers than grow from these vessels.”

"Fresh Linen, 2015" by Rebecca Pells

“Fresh bed linen for me is one of life's little luxuries. Inspired by a French interior, I have tried to capture the timeless charm, weaving my favoured muted palette of colours in an impressionistic style. A haven from the noise and chaos of 21st century life, it captures a moment in the morning sunlight leaving the viewer free to create their own story about whose room - and bed - this is...”

"Rejeuvenate, 2015" by Kristina Sellers

“This started as a simple floral piece, but turned into something much more. I had recently returned from my first trip to Italy and this painting started to feel like a discovered fresco, as if it was being revealed from underneath old wallpaper or many layers of paint.”

"Teasels - 15 x 22, 2014" by Valri Ary

“I hadn't painted in months. My muse had left town. Packed up lock, stock and barrel. I was reading about watercolor pours and wondered how I could do that without all the rules that go along with it. Suddenly, my muse miraculously returned to me with hopes of my forgiveness for leaving me and brought me some flowers. Yup, the flowers were teasels. My muse may not 'get' flowers but it did return me to painting.”
