"English Garden Hydrangeas, en plein air landscape oil painting, 2017" by Tracy Eisa

“I painted this small plein air in a friend's garden. The English garden flourishes in the relatively hot summer sun, and the green-y yellow flowers are waiting for their time to reveal their pink petals.”

"Italian On Best Blue" by Juliet Matthews

“This elegant greyhound with it's distinctive upturned ear appealed to me immediately as a subject for a portrait, but also as a beautiful and charming animal. It's direct gaze reminded me of people posing for their portraits and shows echoes of the greyhound's purpose in life...to focus on one thing and to chase!”

"Kaleidoscope, 2017" by Patricia Ariel

“Shattering, unveiling, a heart that falls to color, echoing like lethal glass, a puzzle of one thousand souls, waiting for the many dreams that will lay on her deathbed.”

"Pont De La Tournelle, 2017" by Etienne Pascal

“It was a beautiful day in spring, and I love reminiscing about those days in Paris walking alongside Seine. The Quai de Béthune offers this amazing view of the city.”

"Red Bull, 2017" by Rosie Mark

“This black bull was spotted in a field in Cumbria, UK and I couldn't resist stopping the car to take a few photos of him which is why he is looking quizzically towards the viewer. Although this animal is strong and powerful, he has the most gentle gaze.”

"Dreaming of Other Skies, 2015" by Amrita Saraogi

“Beginning with a quick self-portrait created spontaneously during a moment of 'inner searching', inspired by the German expressionists, this artwork developed as an expression of my quest to discover and know my inner self better, by 'flying' to different experiences and places, and hoping for better realities. It is also an expression of an urge to get away from the immediacy and discomfort of everyday life, and dreaming of another one.”

"Lavender Evening, 2017" by Bhavani Krishnan

“Painting at a lavender farm is like aromatherapy for me! As a plein air artist, I'm lucky that I can transport my studio to a lavender farm for a few days. I spent three beautiful evenings escaping the summer heat capturing the last light hitting the trees on this lavender farm. Looking at this painting transports me to the memory of the birds singing and the flowers dancing as I painted without a care in the world.”

“Enter a fantasy world full of colour, shapes and fish! Eye popping colour and movement are in abundance in this piece.”

"Aquarius, 2017" by Regina

“I was inspired to create this piece by a photo of human cells. They reminded me of small sea creatures: shellfish and shells. I made them float along small stretch of sea at low tide, near the beach, in the crystalline water. After all... water is the source of life!”

"Together, 2017" by Christel Haag

“Together we are stronger, as the saying goes. This is true not only for humans but also for animals. My painting was created after a long walk along a beautiful Bavarian lake. I was mesmerised by the ducks and the splendid array of other types of birds splashing, quacking and chirping around together in the water. Inspired by this fascinating spectacle of nature, my painting started to take form. First I decided on the colours I wanted to use, then began the intuitive journey of the painting process. When the painting was done, it was clear to me that it needed to be called 'Together'.”
