Hi Tony, Sorry about the delay in responding, I have been on holiday and have got a bit out of step. Anyway many thanks for the great review I am glad that you like The Card Players I like to set a distinctive atmosphere wherever possible and the idea of 4 men playing what is obviously a very serious game by candlelight certainly appealed to me. The high contrasts in the work give it more punch than one where the background would distract from the players. Best wishes Max

I am about to have this lovely painting mounted and framed as a special Christmas present for my two little Granddaughters, whose new room is being decorated as a study for them. The painting is the main decoration to bring the colour of the walls all together. Tilly and Bea are 6 and 4 and love horses and Enchanted Stories. So. thank you for painting such an Enchanted Forest, it's almost as if I had commissioned it, but better.

Max communicated with me almost immediately telling me when to expect the picture. When the picture arrived the first thing I felt was the sense of joy and hopefulness which this picture Inspired. Spring is a time of rebirth and I can imagine walking through a crisp snowy field bathed in sunshine. This picture is truly beautiful. Thank you

Hi Peter, Many thanks for the great review. The picture was taken from a photograph that I took on my last visit to the Isle of Man, with just abit of artistic licence to add some further interest Please keep me in mind when you are looking for another picture.
