Hi Sidi, Many thanks for the great review as I said before it is always nice to feel that your work is appreciated. I was a bit worried that the paintings had not arrived on Thursday as a painting that I posted to another customer on the same day as yours actually arrived last Wednesday. Perhaps the need for a signature caused the delay, anyway the main thing is that they arrived safely in the end. Best wishes Max

The outer packaging could have been sturdier. There was a dent but fortunately the art was fine. Also, no tracking on the package, unlike my other order from a French artist.

Hi Chris, Many thanks for the nice review, I will take your comments on board ref the packing but if I allow for tracking the cost of postage would have to be increased and people don't seem to like that, so in general I leave it off. Best wishes Max

Hi Myrna, Thanks very much for the great review. I am glad that you liked the work, the painting was based on a photograph that I took of a tree in Lyme Park in autumn some years ago. Lyme hall is situated in the hills near our house and I always enjoy walking there. The hall and surrounding area was used in the television version of Pride and Prejudice. Best wishes Max

Hi Tony, Sorry about the delay in responding, I have been on holiday and have got a bit out of step. Anyway many thanks for the great review I am glad that you like The Card Players I like to set a distinctive atmosphere wherever possible and the idea of 4 men playing what is obviously a very serious game by candlelight certainly appealed to me. The high contrasts in the work give it more punch than one where the background would distract from the players. Best wishes Max
