The artist's brushstokes engrave character into faces with life experience . The oil painting, itself, displays a roughness in texture that highlights the well-worn, leathered face of the old fisherman. He feels like someone you've seen on any wharf that has had a long life of hard work and good stories!

artwork was poorly packed, wrinkled on arrival, got it flattened out once framed.Art is beautifull and everybody smiles when they see it !

Love the painting. We've always enjoyed walking in bluebell woods, the sight and smell of Spring. Max Aitken's picture captures it perfectly.
