I loved the idea of this painting before it arrived. When I saw it with my own eyes for the first time, the multidimensionality of the brush strokes and colors blew me away.

I thought this painting and man's face was so interesting. The expression and detail on this is wonderful. I've had people get stuck staring at it. I bought a frame for it and have been deciding if I should put behind glass or not, but the texture is what makes it that much more interesting. Max was very communicative in getting the piece to me, and it will be such a talking point in the house.

I especially liked painting this mans face as (to me) it showed the image of peroson who has lived a hard and difficult life but who still has not been beaten down and perhaps still has a sense of humour, perhaps a bit of a rascal. I absolutely love this painting. My only comment was the canvas was cut a bit narrow around the painting which made it a little more difficult to frame. But my framer was able to work around it. Thank you Max for the communication before and after shipping, and thank you again for the artwork.

I must admit that I rather liked the work myself, it is based on a photograph that I took on my last visit to the Isle of Man and is of a bay quite near to where I went to school when I lived there.
