Original artwork description:

This piece created specially for Independence Day of Ukraine💙💛

According to Confucius, signs and symbols rule the world.
Botanical symbolism of Ukrainians dates back to ancient times. Then people spiritualized nature, believing that their rituals associated with the plants would bring health and wealth to them and their families.

These ancient beliefs are reflected in the rye ears in the painting. Being one of the oldest cereal crops on Earth, along with wheat it was considered in Ukraine as the basis of life. From ancient times these plants have been symbols of fertility, abundance and wealth.

Not surprisingly, that Ukrainians even added their yellow (or golden) color to the national flag.

The white background in the painting is a symbol of light, holiness, festivity; the main color of housing, clothing, etc.
This color has been sacred and deeply symbolic for many nations around the Globe, whose mythologies contain the eternal fight of two main powers - "black and white".
