Most pop song lyrics are incoherent drivel comprising a few random, rhyming words around which to drape a (hopefully) catchy tune. Songs may be therapy sessions for the performer but for us listeners they are usually meaningless gibberish. There is no consensus anywhere as to what the words to 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' actually mean other than it's something to do with sex and drugs and 'Mr Jimmy'. Mr Jimmy is either: some guy who met Jagger in a Minnesota drug store; Jimmy Hendrix, with whom Jagger possibly shared a girlfriend (supergroupie Devon Wilson); or Stones producer Jimmy Miller who had to play the drums because Charlie Watt couldn't 'get the groove'. Who cares? The sentiment of the title is amaranthine and will outlive the song itself. To the Stones' disgust Donald Trump, not an obvious Stones fan, used to play this song at his rallies until forced to desist. He now plays YMCA by Village People. Enough said.
