Artist's description:

With her russet hair flying in the breeze, she wears a fine transparent cape and dress, standing with eyes closed dreaming of flowers.

She is standing breast deep in turquoise water which for me is a nod to my Scorpio sunsign or any of the water signs.
Her golden necklaces, nose jewel, earring, as well as the fringes of her cape and flower bursts, are all painted in gold gouache so it catches the light.

I've taken some photos at an angle to show this feature.
I feel this is about calmness and sensuality; she is 'in her element'
Sometimes I am inspired by astrology and being a water sign (Scorpio), I love turquoise and blue.

It was created two years after I moved to Lincolnshire when I was in my very early forties, and shortly after I remarried.

This like other older pastels on here, were exhibited perhaps once in northwest England, then after an intense few years of illustrating (1995 -2001, it was unframed and packed away in my plan-chest since then! I am slowly photographing this body of work to make available.

Drawn in chalk pastel on lightly textured Somerset 300gsm paper; signed bottom right.
One photograph is a CGI of how it might appear framed.

This pastel drawing is available unframed; wrapped in acid-free tissue, carefully packaged and sent to you by Tracked Delivery.
