"Witness Statement" is a new dynamic abstract expressionist oil painting on canvas by Trixie Pitts. The painting is bright, intense, and totally captivating. The dynamic style, full of energy, almost seems like a cross between Twombly and Basquiat! The palette includes crimson, scarlet, crimson, orange and pink as well as blue, white and a hint of black. The bold brushwork, layers and different thicknesses of paint, help to make "Witness Statement" such a showstopper! This painting was inspired by my years of struggle as I overcame and learned to harness the traumas of my early life. It expresses my exuberance and joy of being alive and able to paint!.
