An original watercolour painting. A rhinoceros tries to relax while being pestered by oxpecker birds, which tend to flutter about and feed on the ticks and insects which accompany all of Africa's large mammals. The birds add a little extra colour and movement to the composition, making it more interesting in my opinion. This was painted as a companion piece to 'Head In The Clouds', (now sold). I find the expression on the rhino's face quite comical although strangely similar to how I often feel in the morning! This painting along with it's tongue in cheek title has certainly raised a smile or two in the past year or so at exhibitions. Measuring 16 x 13.5 inches, it will be presented mounted and framed in a 2 inch wide, waxed, pale wood frame to a total size of 25 x 22 inches, ready to hang.
This artwork will be boxed securely in cardboard and sent along with a certificate of authenticity, via UPS.
