Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

During one of my master art classes, our instructor handed out a black and white photo copy of arches. Arches in all forms, standing, rubble, discolored and so on. We were all asked to paint this as we saw it. Some may feel it is a pathway to the future; leading away from destruction. I saw it with all kinds of possibilities. With destruction comes rebuilding and a pathway to hope. This is why I added vibrant, almost blinding sunlight. This painting has an oldworld look, and a new world theme.
For me there is always hope!!

My paintings come with a certificate of authenticity.
