Artist's description:

A recent visit to Marrakech has awakened my love of sunny places and this is the 2nd painting from that visit. The first was a scene in Majorelle Gardens -and I am currently working on two more. But they take me quite a long time. This is a small oil on stretched canvas. I was keen to get to the spot where Winston Churchill painted a Gateway in the city wall. It had changed considerably. A new road and new gardens, provide this aspect, and no camels as in his rendition. The bus station just around the corner and therefore you get the opportunity to study people just standing! I first sketched it in watercolour and set about painting this in oils once I got back to the studio.
