The house I stayed in in Panama was just 2 minutes (hot) walk to the communal swimming pool. which was surrounded by a playing field and a wall. The plants and trees that were beyond and hanging over this wall made beautiful patterns on the wall mid afternoon. I was totally taken by the colours I could see in the shadows and the bright hot sunlight and spent hours just looking. This is a very small part of a long wall. It left a lasting impression. I don’t know what the name of the tree behind was, but the seed pods were extremely interesting. About 6” long and oval, when they dropped on the floor they split in two. The inside of these pods was a mass of tiny hairs, which if you touched pierced your skin - an experience I don’t want to repeat.
