Original artwork description:

I'll confess that I have always been fascinated by Virginia Woolf: her novels, her life and her mental problems. It has always seemed strange to me that someone who seemed to have everything that anyone could want: fame, fortune, family and good physical health, would want to end their life.
I drew my inspiration for this painting from the well known old photograph of her as a young woman. She was truly beautiful.
With this painting I have tried to show the conflict within her life and her own psyche.
VIRGINIA ABSTRACT is a one-of-a-kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint. I have used rather cold colors, in keeping with the theme of the work. The text, the clock and the newspaper clipping have been printed on a high resolution printer and then laminated to the back of the mylar surface. The portrait and remainder of the artwork were painted on the front of the surface.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on one inch thick foamboard with a two inch border all around. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
