Original artwork description:

A deeply rich piece conveying warm earthy colours against vibrant tones of hazy whites and smouldering reds that appear other-worldly. The work is evocative and relies on the viewers subconscious to bring about their own interpretation, thus making them part of the ongoing creative process.

Details:

High grade/High pigment Oil on Cotton Primed/Stretched Canvas. Varnished with Gamblin Cold Wax Medium (this information is required for future care of the piece).
All my pieces are signed on the back so as not to ruin the image. Certificate of Authenticity can also be provided upon request free of charge as well as a special message if the piece is being brought as a gift.

Important Information:

I have spent many years honing my craft and take the upmost care in making sure that my paintings are designed to last.
What does this mean? Well, many oil painters are not aware of the level of discipline it can take to create a stable environment for your Art to exist in.
For example, the Canvas must not only be stretched to compensate for temperature adjustments but also primed several times and sanded before the application of any oil paint. This allows the colour to remain vibrant and not dull over the years.
Another consideration is the pigment in the paint. For example, black oil colours take far longer to dry than lighter oil colours such as cadmium yellow. What this means is that if you put a lighter colour on top of a darker colour before it has dried, you run the risk of the Artwork cracking in the future. This can be avoided by properly blending colours and using a chemical called an alkyd, which speeds up drying time and helps the paint pigments to bind to one-another.
Finally, when a piece is finished, some artists do not varnish it, or they varnish it too soon when the canvas is 'touch dry' but not fully dry beneath the surface. This can cause a multitude of problems in the years to come for the owner of the piece.

With my Art, each and every one of these considerations is taken into place so that the Artworks can survive fully intact.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and if you have any questions please do let me know,
