original painting in acrylics on canvas textured paper, signed on the front by artist. Painted using some dry brush techniques and palette knife work. The painting comes unframed but a mount board can be supplied for delivery on request at no additional charge. With Christmas fast approaching this would make an ideal gift for someone as also comes with a certificate of authenticity.
This scene was painted from a photograph that I took during a wet winter walk with my family in 2010. The view is overlooking Breydon waters, which is one of the UK's largest expanse of wet grasslands and a popular site for birds. My husband who loves history and all things Roman was explaining the origins of Burgh castle and how the landscape has changed with the receding waters since the it was first built to protect the coastline from raiders from the North sea. It is a beautiful, atmospheric site and free to walk around if you ever get the chance, The panoramic, sweeping views across the marches are even more spectacular in real life. This was one I couldn't resist painting.
