Milan is place of contrast and they are more apparent than elsewhere in this normal, unexceptional street, where old, new, air, lack of air, trees, concrete, light and dark play one close to the other.
This watercolor is made on handmade paper by the Fabriano paper artist Lorenzo Santoni. That is also why the shape of the paper is a bit non regular
