This is done with acrylic and ink. The image is based on Venus by Botticelli, my interpretation. Bright colors with black accents. The contrast of black with traditional acrylics paint technique make a dynamic and unusual piece of art. I used pen and ink to create the image of Venus and the butterflies. This technique of line art is a throwback to my designing in the digital arts and allows me to create the line detail. I do not believe any other artist is using this technique.
