Limited edition etching of an old village on the sea.
I got inspired when driving down the coast of Italy and saw the little villages hanging on the hills, overlooking the Mediterranean.
Every print is different from the other, because they are all inked up by hand, one by one and printed individually.
The print is sold unframed, but fit in a standard Ikea frame , or other available on the market
A handprinted aquatint etching; I ink up the zinc plate for each print pulled, this means that each print will have small differences to the next. I hope you treasure this as a sign of individuality and part of what makes an original print an original. I use first class papers and ink to give my work the best possible longevity.
You can of course ask me to print Vecchio Borgo in a color of your choosing. I would suggest black, Prussian (dark blue), sepia or Sanguine.
Aquatint is a technique where deep tones can be achieved on a zinc plate etching, it involves rosin, that gets melted onto the zinc plate with the help of a burner.
Your Vecchio Borgo sul Mare is printed in an edition of only 50 prints, please be aware that I can't guarantee that you get the number on the photo......
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me.
This is printed on a piece of warm white heavy printmaking paper, perfect for the image, the paper measures 17.5cm x 17.5cm (7" x 7") and the actual image measures 10cm x 10cm (4" x 4")
The print is sold unframed.
I'll mail your etching in a sturdy cardboard envelope, the print is wrapped in plastic and comes with a nice leaflet explaining what an etching is.
Thank you for looking in my shop and very welcome back!
