‘Vasant’ in India is the spring season and it is also considered as the king of seasons, ‘Rituraj’. ‘Raga’ is a piece of music which expresses a unique mood in certain characteristic progressions and there are several Ragas, Raginis and Ragaputras with their own uniqueness. In India, Raga is a social heritage art which supports the emotional and aesthetical aspects of life. Through centuries artists expressed their aesthetical emotion through these Ragas both in music and painting. But standing in this twenty first century I feel like standing in front of a boundless ocean of undiscovered bliss which can be expressed by the intangible instrument of Ragas. This painting is such an expression.
