Living in New Mexico for over 30 years I have always loved the palette of colors and shapes native to the landscape. The aspen forests nearby are wild and secret places to visit.It's the beginning of fall and the aspen are surrounded by a riot of color. Up in the wilderness in the mountains east of Santa Fe.

Another of the painting-a-day series of small watercolors using loose watercolor washes quickly over a very rough paper. A fun way to bust loose and explore with watercolors that are different from my usual approach. 13" x 19" image size, un-matted and unframed
