A retro styled painting showing a girl with a nineteen sixties vintage Vespa scooter. This painting was based on a photograph taken on a rainy day down in Cornwall where this beautifully restored little machine was parked outside a cottage. I added the parka clad young girl and a bit of a 'Quadrophenia' styling to come up with the final composition. My range of Daniel Smith watercolours includes some wonderful iridescent shades which give a good representation of the chrome work. In case you are wondering 'tricked out' is a term used by Mods meaning that the scooter has had all sorts of fancy extras added to it such as the numerous mirrors often seen, or a flashy paint job. Measuring about 13.5 x 16 inches it is presented in a white mount and framed in a complimentary Yew frame with a gold sight edge to a total size of approximately 21.5 x 24 inches, ready to hang.
