Artist's description:

Heading down hill, the riders are looking for the ultimate streamlined position to reduce drag. This painting captures the Russian team Tinkoff Saxo, Polish rider, Rafal Majka flat against the top tube in the Tour De France 2015 (Stage 18). Never looks comfortable this position. The mountains and hillside streak by behind as they free-wheel.

I used water-soluble oils. One of the first works I've completed in this new (for me) medium, which took a time as started in August last year ... some work in progress shots provided.

On a deep linen gessoed canvas which is 60 x 60 x 2.5 cm. Signed on the front bottom right in paint by the artist. The canvas stretchers are professional quality hardwood. Fitted with D-rings and a hanging cord. The image goes around the edges. Ready to hang.
